Shortcuts & Command Palette
Get around the dashboard and work the inbox and Live View from the keyboard.
The dashboard is built to be driven from the keyboard. Two keys are worth learning first:
⌘Kon a Mac,Ctrl+Kelsewhere, opens the command palette - a search box for everything in the dashboard.?opens the Keyboard shortcuts sheet, which lists exactly the shortcuts that work on the page you're on.
Shortcuts are inactive while you're typing in a field, and single-key shortcuts pause while a dialog is open.
The command palette
Press ⌘K / Ctrl+K anywhere and start typing. The palette matches on names and on related words - typing transcripts finds Live View, stats finds Analytics - and Enter runs the highlighted entry. It offers:
| Group | Entries |
|---|---|
| Go to | Home, Inbox, Live View, Analytics, Members, Integrations, Settings - each with its g chord shown as a hint. |
| Inbox | Jump straight to a scope: Assigned to me, All interrupts, Manager review queue. |
| Live View | Jump to a Live View scope. |
| Presence | Become away / Become online - your workload management presence, without opening the sidebar menu. |
| Help | Keyboard shortcuts and Take the tour, which replays the onboarding walkthrough. |
If you only remember one shortcut, make it this one - everything else on this page is reachable from the palette.
Getting around
| Keys | Action |
|---|---|
g then h | Go to Home |
g then i | Go to the Inbox |
g then l | Go to Live View |
g then a | Go to Analytics |
g then m | Go to Members |
g then w | Go to Integrations |
g then s | Go to Settings |
⌘K / Ctrl+K | Open the command palette |
? | Open the keyboard shortcuts sheet |
The g chords are two separate key presses - g, then the letter - not held together.
Inbox
| Keys | Action |
|---|---|
j or ↓ | Select the next interrupt in the rail |
k or ↑ | Select the previous interrupt |
a | Focus Approve on the first undecided action request - press Enter to confirm. Approving is immediate and irreversible, so the shortcut deliberately stops one step short. |
e | Open the Edit panel with the request's arguments |
r | Open the Reject panel |
s | Open the Respond panel |
⌘ Enter / Ctrl+Enter | Submit the open edit, reject or respond panel |
Esc | Close the open panel |
The decision keys only appear when you're allowed to decide the request and it permits that decision; the available keys are shown as small hints on the buttons themselves. See reviewing an interrupt for what each decision means.
Live View
| Keys | Action |
|---|---|
j or ↓ | Select the next session in the rail |
k or ↑ | Select the previous session |
Moving with j / k always collapses multi-view back to a single session; the multi-view picker itself is mouse-only, as are assigning, escalating, custom actions and disconnecting.
